India test-fires Agni-3 missile with 3,000-km range

Chandipur, Odisha, February 6, 2026: India on Thursday successfully test-fired the Agni-3 intermediate-range ballistic missile, capable of striking targets up to 3,000 km away. The launch was conducted from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur, Odisha, under the supervision of the Strategic Forces Command.

The nuclear-capable Agni-3 is a key part of India’s strategic deterrence and is designed to enhance the country’s credible minimum deterrence posture. Authorities described the test as a routine training and evaluation exercise.
